CASIC Holds Induction Training Session for 2020 College Graduates


"Today, you're about to set sail, step on the long journey towards oceans of stars, and jointly embark on the China's space dream journey". On August 19, CASIC held an induction training session for 2020 college graduates, and Yuan Jie, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of CASIC, gave a lecture to the new employees joining CASIC.

Relevant personnel participated in the training session, including: Lin Qing, Leader of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team and Member of the Party Leadership Group, Liu Yongcai, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Senior Consultant of Science and Technology Committee of CASIC, leaders of relevant departments of CASIC, leaders in charge and department heads of all institutes and companies, outstanding youth representatives of CASIC, and new recruited college graduates in 2020. The training session was presided over by Lin Qing.

Yuan Jie reviewed the development history of the aerospace industry and shared his memorable moments at work. According to Yuan, with the vigorous development of China's aerospace industry, the technical backbones and management backbones aged 30-40 have currently played a major role in the development of China's aerospace industry. Numerous young talents have grown up in the course of development of CASIC, and groups of technical experts, professional leaders and industry leaders come to the fore.

Yuan proposed six expectations and suggestions on how to better take up the baton of the times and become a politically qualified and professionally competent successor to the aerospace space in the rapid and vigorous development period of China's aerospace industry.

First, we must stand firm in support of our ideals and beliefs, and keep our original aspiration and our mission firmly in mind. Aerospace technicians in the new era should take the core interests of China and the long-term interests of the Chinese nation as the highest pursuit of life, transform the unlimited ardour for the great motherland into loyalty to serve the country and practical actions to love the Chinese nation, and integrate personal ideals into the practice of "empowering the army with science and technology and serving the nation with aerospace technology", thus contributing their own strength to the realization of the Chinese dream.

Second, we should adhere to the principle of quality first and the strict and meticulous work style. For the aerospace industry, quality is politics, life and benefit. We should always adhere to the principle of quality first, strictly implement the effective working systems and management methods that have been proven effective in the aerospace industry for decades, attach importance to all details in the process of research and production, and turn the strict and meticulous code of conduct into conscious ideas and professional beliefs.

Third, we should adhere to innovation-driven development and pursue excellence unceasingly. New employees should take pride in innovation, strengthen themselves with innovation, base themselves on their own job, and constantly stimulate the passion and vitality of innovation. The path of making innovation is not always as right as rain. We should make efforts to improve our ability to face setbacks, get rid of difficulties and surmount them.

Fourth, we should strengthen teamwork and achieve strong collaboration. Aerospace engineering features complex system, intensive technology, high risk, and long research and development cycle. Therefore, it is necessary to give full play to the role of system engineering, coordinate resources in all walks of life widely and efficiently, and promote the overall implementation of projects. We should always keep in mind that we are a member getting involved in aerospace engineering, and adhere to the principle of solidarity, cooperation and strong collaboration in our work.

Fifth, we should study diligently, think carefully and train hard to constantly improve our ability. Nowadays, knowledge is updating rapidly, and new technologies, modes and forms of business are emerging one after another. Aerospace youth should lay a solid foundation, master expertise, strive to become lifelong learners, realize the unity of knowledge and action, and strengthen practice.

Sixth, we should develop a good habit and maintain a positive mindset. Yuan hoped that aerospace youth should keep the big picture in mind, be proactive, make overall plans and put first things first, treat people sincerely, and understand and tolerate others.

Yuan stressed that the youth should seize the rare opportunities in the times, take the mission given by the Party and the state as the highest pursuit, and be brave to take on heavy responsibilities and forge ahead with determination under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thus writing the glorious chapter of youth in the course of building a world-leading aerospace & defense group company, constructing China into an aerospace power, building a world-class military and realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Academician Liu Yongcai introduced the development of China's aerospace industry by starting with aerospace industry, aerospace development and aerospace culture, as well as fruitful achievements made by CASIC in research and production. At the same time, Liu also vividly explained the rich connotation of the spirit of space in combination with his personal experience. Liu encouraged new employees to love the aerospace industry, strive to practice the "three spirits" of space, and contribute to the construction of China into an aerospace power.

At the session, the new employees watched the opening video titled "Stay True to the Mission and Forge Ahead". The youth representatives from China Space Sanjiang Group Corporation and the new employees' representatives from Aerospace Jiangnan Group Co., Ltd. shared their ideas about the original aspiration and mission of aerospace youth in the new era.

It is reported that CASIC has introduced about 2,900 college graduates this year, of which 80% have the master's degree and above. CASIC is making efforts to build a talent quality training system covering source training, follow-up training and full course training. After the first stage of induction training for college graduates, CASIC will also organize on-line training, examination, and level-to-level and classified on-the-job training for new employees.
